Brittany Ayala
Brittany, a political science major, has shown a curiosity for history throughout her life. Even though she has faced daunting challenges, she has shown courage and determination to rise above circumstances that might have deterred others. As Brittany finishes up her community college education (Diablo Valley College) and heads off to a four-year university, she chooses to major in political science and will be well on her way to reaching her goal of becoming a civil rights attorney.
Sasha Graham
Sasha’s determination and “can-do” attitude exude! Against all odds she has put herself through community college, excelling in her classes. Her experiences with extreme poverty inform her perspectives on how to assist others facing similar realities. Sasha will be pursuing ethnic studies and pre-law classes at a four-year university. Her goal is to return to her community as a support for others.
